Now that I have found N1MM Contest Logger software (fantastic), I have to turn to getting the right equipment in place to use its capability for contests. The main event for my local Ham Club (FARA) is the Virginia QSO Party (VAQP). It happens the third week of March, so we just completed the 2011 running.
New in the station this year was the SO2R Controller called the DX Doubler (DXD). This box, which has been around for a number of years, lets you integrate a single set of human interface devices (microphone, keyer, and headset) with two radios. It has a fully manual mode and an automatic mode. N1MM recognizes the capabilities of several SO2R boxes, including the DX Doubler.
I will be writing several posts here to capture my process of getting an SO2R station up and running.
