Getting prepared for the upcoming VA QSO Party (check it out if you want to work a great contest this March). My plan is to operate mobile this year using an IC-7000. I used it in the past with N1MM just for frequency control. This year I plan to use N1MM again, but adding the full CW/SSB/PTT interface. Stay tuned.
Hello just wanted to give you a quick heads up.
The text in your article seem to be running off the screen in Internet explorer.
I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with internet browser
compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know.
The design look great though! Hope you get the issue fixed soon.
Many thanks
I will look into it. Sorry for the problem. I use Firefox.
What was your result with the IC7K and N1MM? I’m trying to get the CW to produce and NIL so far. Xmtr transmits but I don’t hear any code. All else seems o.k. with remote control. Tks 73s K7SXN
Once you get N1MM setup to transmit with the IC-7000, it should not matter if you are local (hands-on) or remote. You do need to get a keying interface setup. You can probably buy one, but I used the connector supplied with the IC-7000 and a one-transistor switch. The details can be found on the N1MM Site. If you need more specifics, let me know and I will be glad to help you.
It works great for me.

Here is a link to the description of keying circuits on the N1MM Web Site. I used the serial port approach, with a USB-to-serial adapter.

The link to the hamdocs page gives:

Serial, Parallel and Sound Card Interfacing
jim,
I see it has apparently moved. Here is a link to the current Interfacing Page at N1MM:

Please try that.
